Founded in 2020 by husband and wife team, Cassi Dymond and Sean Norwood, Kalimera Construction and Consulting was born out of a natural love of building and filling a niche in the New Orleans commercial construction market.
Cassi Dymond is a local restaurateur, co-owning Satsuma Cafe on Maple St in New Orleans, a commercial and residential real estate agent with McEnery Residential and managing partner of Kalimera Construction and Consulting. After working in the foodservice industry for over 25 years, she wanted to be able to help fellow restaurateurs locate and renovate brick and mortar spaces. Joining forces with Sean seemed like a natural fit in order to provide a one-stop service to clients looking for spaces for their own shops. Cassi oversees client communication and design phases of the construction arm as well as consulting with kitchen layout, health code regulations and overall flow of the space. She has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from The University of New Orleans and is a Historic House Specialist here in New Orleans.
Sean Norwood carries a Masters Degree in Construction Management from The University of Alabama Birmingham with a BA from Tulane University. He has over 20 years of commercial construction management experience. He is an engineer at heart and loves the process of seeing new projects come to life under his watchful eye. With over $200M worth of completed projects in his portfolio, Sean carries not only the knowledge but the experience of constructing projects in all sectors of construction.
